The hall of the 14th Walthamstow Scout group has been standing since 1932. It's played host to the scout group for nearly 100 years. Although our volunteer leadership team has done a fantastic job in keeping the building in a good state of repair, sadly, the roof is showing its age and is in need of refurbishment.
Despite our best climbing skills, our leaders are not up to the task and are now sourcing funds to help us replace the roof professionally to ensure that the building stands for another 100 years!
The Sloths Explorer Scout Unit use the hall as their base and felt that helping raise these funds would be a fantastic way to show their support. They will be doing a 24-hour stint of continuous activities at the hall ranging from board and video games to cycling and fitness, doing whatever it takes to last the whole 24 hours.
